What’s your job title?
What’s the most memorable event you’ve planned at House of Steep?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being able to get creative and curate events at House of Steep. There have been a number of memorable events, but I would say I’m really proud of being able to help with the Run the LMT campaign and fundraiser.
You also plan a variety of events outside of House of Steep. What events have you planned for other clients?
I plan and curate events particularly for small businesses and brands that have a social mission to help empower the community through art, fashion, music, and culture.
Anything you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies?
I love to write, read, bike, yoga, and walk through museums and attend local art exhibitions as a form of inspiration.
What are some interesting facts about you some people may not know?
Most people may not know that I have hitchhiked across the country. Not even my mother. lol
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a military family and had the privilege of growing up in the Philippines, Japan, California, and the DMV area.
What are some of your favorite movies?
– Star Wars because I love sci-fi and it’s nostalgia factor. It was way ahead of its time and helped encouraged a lot of people to stretch the limits of their imagination.
- Thomas Crown Affair because it reminds me that intelligence is fascinating and how we use it to our advantage.
– Ronin b/c Robert Dinero is phenomenal.
– Moonlight for it’s emotionally evocative & compelling story of reality and the truth.
If you could go on a dream vacation, where would you go?
FIJI has always been my dream destination.
What’s your favorite band/artist?
I can’t pick between them but my answer is always the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the The Roots.
What’s your favorite local business besides House of Steep?
This is tough because I support a lot of local businesses. If I had to pick just one, I would say Femme Fatale DC for being an incredible independent pop-up shop with a powerful social mission which highlights, empowers, and helps women in business in a modern way.
What’s your favorite tea?
Matcha (unsweetened) for it’s frothiness and natural intensity.
What’s your favorite soak?
I’m a simple person that enjoys simplicity in life so a standard soak is perfect.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I have a 5 year plan to work as a digital nomad between the US and overseas while developing my own marketing consulting agency. My focus is in tech, travel, art, and music, and creating experiences that highlight the intersections of culture within these industries. The goal is to continue to work towards my mission and purpose in helping underprivileged communities while bringing people together while eventually working towards becoming a Global Ambassador to assist with building community centers, clean water wells, and orphanages.
