IMG_4452_EDIT_CROPHello Steepers,

DC’s hot summer days have started to break and the smell of pumpkin-spiced-everything is beginning to waft through the air. At the end of September we celebrated our 5 Year Steep-iversary. That’s right! It’s already been 5 short years since Lyndsey took an amazing concept of  love, healing, compassion, and community and turned it into reality.

The team is extremely proud of the appreciation and loyalty continually expressed from our customers and we’re looking forward to serving smiles and scattering peace long into the future!

We propose a toast…with jam! We are proud to announce our new partnership with Pinup Preserves to serve their delicious jams. The variety of natural, berry flavors are all very popular with toast, as well as, on our new matcha scones.

Due to the cooler temps, we recently brought back our hugely popular smoky tomato soup made with Lapsang Suchong tea. Folks can’t seem to get enough of it! We’ve also added macaroni & cheese and our seasonal pumpkin lattes. We are always offering samples of our food, so don’t miss out on trying these new items during your next visit.

In foot sanctuary news, our efforts to expand on therapist availability continue. We recently welcomed back reflexologist, Andrea Kiss! In addition, we have another new massage therapist, David Brown, joining us this month. As a result of these additions, we’re now available to offer more evening therapy sessions immediately. We are always looking for talented therapists, so if you or someone you know is interested in joining the Steep team, please let us know!

Our events team has been hard at work planning and executing several public and private in-store events recently. We’ve been having lots of fun hosting Painting Evenings, Plant Night, Organic Tea Tastings, and Nutritional/Performance Coaching sessions; as well as providing a venue for a variety of local clubs and organizations to meet. We are continually filling the calendar with new public and and we love hearing your ideas, so please keep them coming! If you are interested in booking a private function please contact us at events@houseofsteep.com.

Lastly, we wanted to share the information from the LMT Fundraiser Dinner on Wed, September 20th. Proceeds are being used to help The American Friends of the Lebanon Mountain Trail (AFLMT) and Lebanon Mountain Trail Association. The AFLMT hosted the dinner to recognize Patrick for his achievement in setting the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for running the Lebanon Mountain Trail last June. During the dinner, I discussed my journey and we had a private screening of several never-before-seen short videos taken during my adventure. I was honored to be a part of it.

We continue to work hard toward our building our Steep vision. As always, we you thank you for sharing feedback and thoughts on our progress.

Happy Steeping!

Patrick and the TEAm
