This month we spotlight tea house attendant Erica Kreider. Erica is an Arlington native and a Tolkien fan.

What’s your favorite part of your job at Steep?
The relaxing ambience and our customers!

Anything you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read and knit in my free time, as well as explore new music.

What are some interesting facts about you some people may not know?
I lived and taught special education in Rwanda for a year and loved it!

Where did you grow up and what made you move to Arlington?
I was born and raised in Arlington.

What are some of your favorite movies?
Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 version) and Lord of the Rings are definitely in my top 5.

If you could go on a dream vacation, where would you go?
I would go visit my friend in Switzerland.

What’s your favorite band/artist?
There are so many! Florence and the Machine, Carley Rae Jepson, and Phil Collins, to name a few.

What’s your favorite local business besides House of Steep?
One More Page Books is a fantastic book store off of Lee Hwy–great staff and cool events.

What’s your favorite tea?
Rukeri because it is a Rwandan tea and reminds me of Rwanda!

What’s your favorite soak?
Zenergy, I love the orange zest in there.
